a low cost monitoring/archiving solution targeting
early-stage IM deployments |
Bellevue, WA.
November 14, 2002 - Cordant™, Inc.,
a pioneer in developing solutions for Monitoring
/ Archiving of Instant Messages on Microsoft Exchange
2000 IM, and also on other public IM networks such
as AOL and MSN, has just released IMScribe SE. This
new product packages the full-featured enterprise
functionality of IMScribe in a starter licensing
package suitable for enterprise pilots or small
and medium businesses. IMScribe SE is priced at
$1,950 for 500 IM users – a package unprecedented
in the industry.
IMScribe SE installs on Microsoft Exchange 2000

IM traffic to a SQL Sever 2000 database. A rich
set of search tools and reports are provided to
access archived messages as well as statistics on
enterprise wide Exchange IM activity.

across their businesses. Enterprises can immediately
start meeting regulatory and liability requirements
for Instant Messaging communications with a very
attractive starting package price", said Cordant's
Director of Sales, Eric Rembold.
Cordant's first product, IMScribe 1.0, was announced
in December 2001, after extensive beta testing and
feedback from large enterprise customers. It is
currently deployed in production environments at
Fortune 100 enterprises with over 40,000 employees,
where it is being used to monitor and archive all
Exchange IM traffic within the enterprise. Cordant’s
follow-on product OmniScribe that archives public
IM traffic such as AOL and MSN was released in May
2002. More information can be obtained at the company's
